I use a relational integrative approach to therapy informed by my education in counseling psychology, supervision with a psychodynamic therapist, and 2 years of gestalt training.
I find that being given “answers” rarely produces long term change, instead I prefer to support you in the process of finding your own voice and intuition. I show up as myself in the therapy room with an openess to develop a lasting relationship between us that is genuine. My role changes depending on the need in the moment: Someone that is here to listen and see you; a mirror reflecting back to you what happens between us; an outside observer that can point out patterns you might have missed and help you think through things; etc..
I don’t look as symptoms as manifestations of individual illness. Instead, I work with you to understand your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in their context. Through a deeper understanding of yourself and connection to your intuition, I trust you can make decisions that better support the kind of life you’re hoping to lead.
